My Top Lockdown Skincare & Makeup tips
With us all needing to stay in, with much less time outside, lockdown is causing a lot of problems for our faces and skin in general.
You may have noticed your skin starting to lack moisture, feeling dry? This one of the impacts of cranking up the central heating and spend lots of time in dry, warm atmospheres.
Colder months of the year, combined with a winter lockdown means we also get less sun exposure. As a result, we can lose vital vitamin D, making our skin appear dull and sallow.
Of course, the added stress and anxiety from the pandemic will also be playing havoc with your skin.
6 Lockdown Skincare & Makeup Tips
What we wouldn’t all give for a facial or a spa day right now! However, as that isn’t on the cards right now, I have put together my Top Lockdown Skincare and Makeup Tips to help fight problem skin.

1. Aquaphor from Eucerin
It’s a multipurpose product I cannot live without! It’s also claimed Megan Markle uses this wonder product as a highlighter.
It helps support the skin’s own regeneration process. A water-free ointment that soothes & protects dry to very dry, cracked and irritated skin. It creates the ideal protective barrier to support skin regeneration.
I also use this to give a natural glow to the skin by dapping it onto cheekbones.
Another great thing about this amazing product is its affordable and can be picked up at most local pharmacies.

2. Darphin intral SOS balm

4. Wearing makeup with Acne

Acne can not only get worse from the wrong makeup but you can also experience extreme dryness and sensitivity if your makeup is not suitable for your skin.
Another problem with makeup for those suffering with acne is when you use a lot of of products to cover your acne; this can not only make your skin more prone to clogging but can also make your skin look cakey.
There are lots of ingredients that can be troublesome for acne-prone skin and some that are better:
- Avoid products that contain Alcohol, Mineral Oils and natural irritants such as Menthol and Peppermint.
- Oil based products may not actually clog your pores but can add to excess oils already on your skin, which will make your skin more prone to development of blemishes.
- Look for foundations and bases that are water-based products instead.
- If you want to calm oil, choose products with Silica, Zinc Oxide and Dimethicone, which absorb excess oils without causing irritation.

5. Vichy Dermablend corrective Stick
As a Skin camouflage practitioner one of main concerns people have is that they don’t want the products to look heavy or cakey on their skin especially it’s on their face. However this product perfects your complexion the Vichy Dermablend Corrective Stick
