Alicia Sandeman makeup artists and academy is one of the leading accredited makeup schools in Sussex and the South East Based at her studio in Bolney, West Sussex. All of our makeup and hair courses are accredited by the Beauty Guild.
The training is designed to help you succeed as a MUA in the makeup industry. We give you continuous support and regularly pass work to past students and continue to support them and help them grow once the course ends. We make sure you get the time and attention needed to learn your craft properly.
We support you to leave with not just the skills but also the portfolio you’ll need to follow in the footsteps of our past students.
Some of our past students are now working for clients such as the BBC , This Morning (ITV), London Fashion Week, celebrity clients and some have gone on to be award winning makeup artists.

Our Make Up Studio
All courses take place at Alicia’s makeup studio in Bolney, West Sussex.
As you would expect, the studio is fully equipped with the correct lighting, as well as packed full of makeup and equipment. The makeup products we train with include: Mac, Nars, Beauty pie, Dior, Kroylan, Dermacolor, Bobbi Brown and these are just to name a few.
The Studio is easily reached by car, we are just off the main A272 and close to Haywards Heath and Brighton. We have plenty of onsite free parking available
The nearest train station is Haywards Heath which is just a ten minute drive by taxi.
Our Courses
We have a range of Make Up courses that run through the year.
We allow flexibility with our courses and can work around your schedule. Sometimes students don’t like to do all the days in one chunk so we can break up the course and run it over a time that suits you.
Generally the course hours are 10am – 4:30 pm with a break for lunch.
With all our Makeup and Hair courses we bring in live models for you to work on so you get good practice working on different skin tones, skin types and also face shapes. We pride ourselves on masking sure our students leave with confidence to be able to work in any situation and always create beautiful flawless makeup for clients.
